Unlike traditional whiskey that's finished in oak barrels, Oak & Eden patented their own in-bottle finishing™ system. They take a spiral-cut piece of wood, known as a spire, and add it to each bottle. This gives each spirit a distinct flavor and character unlike any single barrel whiskey. The Spire Set includes one bottle of each: Bourbon and Spire, Rye and Spire, Wheat and Spire, and 4 Grain and Spire.

The Bourbon and Spire is a remarkably smooth combination of corn, rye, and barley. Once distilled, it's then aged in new American Oak barrels to produce a rich, deep yet sweet spirit. The bottle is finished with a spire made from American Oak, which contains hundreds of natural botanicals ranging from butterscotch and vanilla to toasted marshmallows. The spire is then exposed to a medium toast to help naturally extract the vanilla and coconut essence from the wood.

Oak & Eden believes that rye whiskey should be bold in flavor, rich in depth, and distilled from 95% rye. Once distilled, the Rye and Spire is then aged in charred barrels made of American oak. An American Oak spire is added to the bottle, containing hundreds of natural botanicals ranging from butterscotch and vanilla to toasted marshmallows. The spire is exposed to intense heat which helps to caramelize the wood, producing a charcoal filter and finishing agent for the spirit.

The Wheat and Spire begins with a remarkably smooth combination of 51% corn, 45% wheat, and 4% malted barley. Once distilled, it's then aged in new American Oak barrels producing a rich, deep yet sweet spirit. The spire in the Wheat and Spire is made from porous and rich French Oak. It contains nearly twice the amount of natural botanicals as American Oak for a rich, fruity, silky finish. Before the spire is placed in the bottle, it's first exposed to fire, toasting the wood to produce a finish that is deep and rich with subtle notes and fruit and vanilla.

Traditional bourbons are distilled using three grains. Introduce a fourth grain into the mix and you get a whole new spirit. The 4 Grain and Spire is distilled with corn, rye, malted barley, and wheat, making for a bold, flavorful spirit. Once distilled, it's then aged in in new American Oak barrels producing a rich, deep yet sweet spirit. The spire added is made from American Oak, which contains hundreds of botanicals ranging from butterscotch and vanilla to toasted marshmallows. The spire is first exposed to fire, toasting the wood to produce a finish that is deep and rich with subtle notes fo candied fruit, vanilla, orange spice, and caramel.
