Unlike traditional whiskey that's finished in oak barrels, Oak & Eden patented their own in-bottle finishing™ system. They take a spiral-cut piece of wood, known as a spire, and add it to each bottle. This gives each spirit a distinct flavor and character unlike any single barrel whiskey.

Spirit
Traditional bourbons are distilled using three grains. Introduce a fourth grain into the mix and you get a whole new spirit. The 4 Grain and Spire is distilled with corn, rye, malted barley, and wheat, making for a bold, flavorful spirit. Once distilled, it's then aged in in new American Oak barrels producing a rich, deep yet sweet spirit.

Wood
Once the bourbon is bottled, Oak & Eden's patented in-bottle finishing™ technique begins. Unlike traditional finished whiskey, Oak & Eden doesn't rest their whiskey in a secondary barrel. Instead, they finish it "in-bottle." The spire is made from American Oak, which contains hundreds of natural botanicals ranging from butterscotch to vanilla and toasted marshmallows.

Fire
Before the spire is placed into the 4 Grain and Spire, it's first exposed to fire, toasting the wood to the perfect degree that will produce a finish that is deep and rich with subtle notes of candied fruit, vanilla, orange spice, and caramel.
