Mexican Armadillo Dance Festival Copper Mask
Product Description
This Mexican Armadillo Dance Festival Copper Mask is an early hand cut copper sheet dance mask with cloth lined interiors, chin rests, relief decoration, perforated eyes, nostrils and mouth. It's a male face surrounded with a zoomorph, possibly an armadillo. Few of these copper masks remain dating back to a style of Pre-Columbian times that comes from the Guerrero Sierra.
