African Zoomorphic Mask
Product Description
This is an African wooden mask used in ancient ceremonies. A large beak like shape and the piercing black eyes give us the idea that the purpose of the mask was to represent a bird. The zoomorphic representation is crowned with a board-shaped superstructure with curved contours. The mask is pierced around the rim, with beautifully symmetrical and geometrical patterns.
