Product Description
Complete Prehistoric Fossilized Fish preserved in Sandstone from the Eocene Epoch. This epoch is the second of three major worldwide divisions of the Paleogene Period that began 56 million years ago and ended 33.9 million years ago. It follows the Paleocene Epoch and precedes the Oligocene Epoch. The Eocene is often divided into Early, Middle, and Late epochs. The name Eocene is derived from the Greek eos, for “dawn,” referring to the appearance and diversification of many modern groups of organisms, especially mammals and mollusks.
