Product Description
Valdivia flat slab-like carved Stone Human Figures in the classical style of this piece are the earliest and most expressive forms of art from South America. Two inverted U’s for the eyes (grooves), joined by a horizontal groove for the neck and horizontal one with a vertical descender for the feet. The pure and minimalist features of the eyes, neck, and legs make this a remarkable work of art very similar to modern pieces made by Brancusi and Henry Moore. Excellent manganese dioxide marks prove its authenticity.
