Product Description
A magnificent male courtier from the Ming Dynasty -1368-1644 AD – in excellent condition. At 32" tall, this immense figure is wearing a traditional hanfu shades of blue and black. It is standing on a rectangular black & blue plinth and the unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black, and white with finely expressed facial features. The head is detachable, as often seen on the larger figures from this period. The figure holds a black book at his chest, and a pouch.
This piece comes with a COA and TL Test No. 27B011116 from Laboratory Kotalla in Germany, the oldest private laboratory specialized in Scientific Authenticity of Thermoluminescence Analysis in the world.
