Egyptian Beads and Brass Necklace + Earrings // Egypt, Late Period Ca. 712-343 BCE
Product Description
Egyptian Oushabti figures with invocations written on the body were buried next to the mummy to serve him on his journey to the underworld. There may be up to 365 in the most ostentatious burials. They are made of glazed turquoise blue faience ceramic or terra-cotta, but the colors have become clear with the centuries. They are symbols of good luck and highly collected.
