Musha
Musha Zatoichi Style Shirasaya
Product Description
From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged Zatoichi style Shirasaya is a minimalist’s dream. Featuring a full tang 1045 high carbon steel blade, this resilient katana is sharp right out of the box.
Traditionally, Shirasaya was used to store the Samurai's blade when not in use. This Shirasaya comes with a clean black wood handles, no wraps, and a simple matching black wood saya. What makes the Zatoichi Shirasaya unique is the blade is straight.
A unique feature of this sword is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, which enables the user to wield the katana more smoothly, and puts less stress on the hands— perfect for advance cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.
All Musha swords are able to be fully disassembled. You are free to add any style Tusba, Fuchi, or Kashira to make the tsuka you want and make your katana truly unique.
