Product Description

From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged “Musashi” Katana. Featuring a full tang 1045 high carbon steel blade, this resilient katana is sharp right out of the box.

This traditional katana features a tsuba designed by the Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi. Arguably the most famous Japanese swordsman, he was undefeated in 61 duels. True to samurai tradition, Musashi was also a philosopher and a writer.

A unique feature of this sword is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as blood grooves, but that is a misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the katana, which enables the user to wield the katana more smoothly, and puts less stress on the hands— perfect for advance cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.

All Musha swords are able to be fully disassembled. The Mokko Gata style Tusba, Fuchi, Kashira all can be swapped out for a different set. The real wood handle is wrapped with traditional cotton.
