From the Musashi Silver Collection comes this intricately hand crafted “Oni” Demon Katana. Hand-forged from 1060 high carbon steel using the Maru-kitae technique, this razor-sharp blade is beautiful, resilient, and finished with a unique hamon pattern. The detailed Kaku Gata style copper tsuba depicts an Oni Demon lord commanding his marching yokai army. In Japanese folklore the Oni is a type of demon known for its fierce and evil nature. They possess intriguingly complex aspects that cannot be brushed away simply as evil. They are feared throughout Japan. The copper kashira and fuchi also follows the demonic theme. The wood handle is real ray skin wrapped in traditional black cotton cord alongside the two tone tsuba.

A unique feature is the integrated Bo-Hi on the blade. Bo-Hi is commonly known as a "blood groove," but that is a misconception. The purpose of the Bo-Hi is to help reduce the weight of the blade so it is easier to wield and puts less stress on the hands. It also helps with some advance cutting techniques that require the katana to change direction rapidly.

Each sword is individually numbered on the tang with matching Certificate of Authenticity.
