This exclusive Shijuhatte handmade Tachi comes from the Limited Edition Musashi Miyamoto Collection.
The Shijuhatte, also referred to as the Japanese Kamasutra, is an art of love forms that originated from the Indian Kamasutra, which was compiled around 200 AD. Through the transmission of Buddhism, the Kamasutra was introduced to other parts of East Asia, including Japan. The Japanese Kamasutra derives from the Chinese interpretation of the Kamasutra, which replaced some of the more acrobatic positions with more comfortable ones.
Depicted throughout this hand crafted sword are various positions of the Shijuhatte. They are all hand etched and engraved throughout the saya and tsuka, both accented with genuine gold, silver, copper and bronze. The blade is hand forged from 1060 high carbon steel using the traditional Japanese Maru-kitae forging method which are passed down from each generation.
The art of the Shijuhatte is etched in throughout the sword. This limited edition sword is a rare and unique piece for any collector that is sure to be a conversation piece.
