Inspired by the villages of Punjab, this Manja Day Bed is constructed from a solid powder coated steel frame. The webbing consists of 100% organic and natural hemp which is known for its long fibre, strength and virtually no stretching. This is an age-old design known for curing sore backs and tired bodies, with the webbing gently contouring to your body as you lay on it. This daybed is truly an alternative to memory foam.

About the Designer
Canadian designer Sumer Singh graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and also studied within the realms of Architecture. While gaining industry experience and his Professional Engineer designation, he spent his free time in the creative pursuit of material and form exploration. In 2013, he decided to go back to his family roots in art and design and foundedMTHARU, which comes from his family name meaning sword hilt maker. His ancestors were blacksmiths, goldsmiths, weapon makers, ivory workers, artists, authors, poets and so on.
