Their team of designers begin by creating an accurate, 3D printable Digital Terrain Model constructed from stereo image data— carefully detailing the Moon's craters, mountains, and mares in exact 1/11.5 million scale. Each globe is then rotocasted in pigmented polyurethane resin from the 3D printed master copy with a layer thickness of only 100 micron, and then finally hand finished by master artisans in the UK.
