These beautiful Wooden Coasters from Modern Industry Design were lovingly made from various book matched solid hardwoods. Modern Industry only uses solid hardwoods that have been sustainably resourced. The wood is processed by hand, using the same methods used by craftsmen a century ago. Finishes are applied by hand, using traditional techniques. The benefits of these time-consuming processes are numerous; each piece is unique- no two will be exactly alike; the wood has more depth, more luster, and more beauty.

Modern Industry was born as a result of the ownerís inability to find contemporary furniture of genuine substance. If furniture is made to be discarded and replaced after 10 years, how will we pass down our heirlooms to the next generation? Our ancestors figured it out centuries ago- craft beautiful objects out of solid materials that will stand the test of time.
