Saint-Georges Majeur by Claude Monet // Triptych (3 Piece: 60"L x 40"H)
Product Description
Saint-Georges Majeur is an Impressionist painting of San Giorgio Maggiore, a sanctuary and monastery off the coast of Venice. Monet painted this scene repeatedly while staying in Venice, forming one of his greatest series of landscape paintings. The artist found sunsets to be one of the most inspiring and uplifting sights in the world, and painted them lovingly in bold colors.
Giclee canvas printing is the most authentic way to reproduce the nuances of fine art painting. This piece is printed as a triptych on a series of three canvases.

About the Designer
Claude Monet (1840—1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting. He was a prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise.
