Church At Auvers by Vincent Van Gogh // Canvas
Product Description
Church at Auvers is one of van Gogh's more personal pieces. The artist had hoped to become a man of the cloth, and painted this piece after being dismissed from his evangelical career. The church, which sits in its own shadow at the end of a diverging path symbolizes empty and unenlightened preaching, and the path symbolizes van Gogh's own choices.
Giclee canvas printing is the most authentic way to reproduce the nuances of fine art painting.

About the Designer
Vincent van Gogh (1853—1890) went from relative obscurity during his lifetime to becoming one of the most recognized names in 19th century art. The Dutch post-Impressionist painter's work is characterized by rough beauty, emotional honesty and bold color. Unfortunately, he did not start painting until his 20's and died at the young age of 37.
