Product Description
Normally, we think of marble as a metamorphic rock that embodies the platonic idea of sculpture; the beginning and the end. But what would we get if we treated it like an extrusion material, almost as if it were aluminium or copper? That’s just what Niko Koronis did, defying the production and materiality of marble. Living matter that becomes a vehicle, Bruchi is the result of a total aesthetic subtraction – no superfluous decorations, an archaic shape for an abstract light.
Designer Niko Koronis has studied and taught architecture and and design. His academic background can be seen throughout his work, which has included research in architecture, urban design, and product design.
