Milkboy Swiss Chocolates dates back over 100 years, to a small dairy in the Emme-Valley in the Swiss Alps where the best Swiss milk originates. They practice traditional Swiss chocolate manufacturing without compromise or shortcuts, and source only the finest quality, natural, and sustainable ingredients to create their extraordinary chocolate bars. It's no wonder why they were awarded the 2021 Sofi Gold Award for Best Milk Chocolate.

Each spring, local dairy farmers and their cattle climb to the lush alpine pastures in the Alps where cows will eat their fill of pristine mountain grass until the onset of autumn. Their departure and return is marked by festivities including “Milkboys" wearing traditional costumes and carrying the artfully carved, wooden milk-pails used to milk the cows.

Inspired by this tradition, Milkboy Chocolates created a unique packaging presentation with paper-cut art—a craft traditionally practiced in the alpine villages. The visuals on the Milkboy wrapper were created by the famous Swiss, paper-cut artist, Esther Gerber. In addition, each flavor has its characteristics embossed by hand-carved engraving plates that add a unique dimension to the packaging.
