Although artist Michael Tompsett likes to experiment with different styles and subjects, his main focus is on map art and place-based subject matter. He enjoys looking for unique and interesting ways to depict that which is familiar. For him, maps are visual representations of the world we live in, a world which is incredibly diverse. In addition to maps, Tompsett creates urban landmark and cityscape designs.
