Tlatilco's Aztec Faces Shot Glasses // Set of 4
Product Description
Extremely rare and unique, this set of shot glasses are only made by a few traditional artisans left just outside of Jalisco, Mexico. Inspired by the Aztec tradition by the Tlatilco people, these shot glasses showcase the specialization over earlier cultures, including more complex settlement patterns, specialized occupations, and stratified social structures. In particular, the development of the chiefdom centers at Tlatilco and Tlapacoya is a defining characteristic of Tlatilco culture. Made from a mix of special clays, these shot glasses undergo a traditional open fire baking process, and are then sealed to make them drinkable.
