Please Note: If the wood is too hard for installation, drill a hole a little smaller than the spike, then hammer it in firmly making sure there is no movement in the bird.

What colors do your Hummingbirds come in?

All Metalbird products (including the Hummingbird), are unpainted Premium 3mm Corten® steel.
It will be in its original silver color and in time, will develop a beautiful patina that gives them long-term protection against the elements.

Is the stem of the flower strong enough to pound on?

Yes, that is correct. The whole spike acts like a giant nail and it is strong enough to pound on.
