Founder Marin Hopper drew inspiration from her grandfather, Leland Hayward, a super agent whose clients included Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Jimmy Stewart, and Cary Grant, before he sold his agency to co-found Universal Pictures and become an Oscar-nominated producer. Their HAYWARD FINESSE factory, located on 33rd Street and Park Avenue in New York City, is the oldest independent family-owned-and-operated handbag manufacturer in the United States.
