The Nereide’s namesake is a Venetian submarine that was built for the Royal Arsenale in 1913, and commissioned to the engineer De Barnardis by the Royal Navy during the First World War. The timepiece recalls the design of WWI submarines and can withstand 20 atmospheres of pressure.
