Matter Collection
The Hexasphericon
Product Description
The Sephericon family is a group of Paradoxical Solids— a three-dimensional figure with geometrical characteristics that seem self-contradictory. They're constructed by cutting a solid geometric shape in half and rejoining it at a 90° turn. Discovered by Colin J. Roberts, Sephericon's center of gravity always remains at the same height above the floor on which it rolls.
With one continuous surface and two discontinuous edges, the Hexasphericon was created from a hexagon. When rolled, it creates an entertaining path that continuously moves from side to side, touching the surface it's on with all of its sides.
Perfect for thinkers, makers, visionaries, learners, and more, this collection of intriguing desk sculptures connects us with the basic elements and the core of the universe.
