Product Description

Vincent Van Gogh (1853–1890) was a master of expressing raw emotion through color and texture. Rather than creating a realistic depiction of his subject, the largely self-taught artist utilized dramatic, impulsive brushstrokes and deliberate color palettes to create portraits and still lifes capable of conveying a distinct mood. Van Gogh created a vast majority of his now iconic works over a 3 year period from 1888-1890, including his richly nuanced Sunflowers, and the iconic The Starry Night, a darkly-romantic landscape composed of sinuous, free-flowing lines.
