Product Description

Play like the musicians of the past with this handcrafted coin guitar pick from master picksmith Dustin Michael Headrick. Originally minted in 1965 by the US Mint to replace the previous 90% silver versions, this smaller quarter-dollar coin features an iconic profile of the United States of America's first president George Washington on the face and a formidable American bald eagle with outstretched wings on the reverse. This coin guitar pick has a finely polished surface and liquid smooth beveled edges for maximum performance and minimum string wear. The tonality is rich, bright, and harmonic, ultimately giving the instrument a completely new sound palette.

Because these guitar picks are handcrafted from authentic coinage, each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of art. No two are exactly the same and may feature micro-excoriation and wear on the surface from circulation.

About the artist: Dustin Michael Headrick
A 3rd generation professional artist, born and raised in middle Tennessee; Dustin's family has been involved in the music industry since the 1940s, most notably in the original country music scene from the Louisiana Hayride to the Grand Ole Opry, and the early days of Nashville's music business. He's a self-taught multimedia artist and musician, and is best known for his finely handcrafted guitar picks which he creates using rare antique metals, coins, wood, bone, horn, and stone. For nearly two decades, Dustin's unique artisan guitar picks have been featured at hundreds of prestigious art shows, music festivals, and galleries across the United States, and found in the hands of professional players around the world.
