Vintage Mayan Brass Guitar Pick
Product Description
This standard .7mm 351 style Vintage Mayan Brass Guitar Pick has been handcrafted from embossed & enameled brass by Master Artisan Guitar Picks in Nashville, Tennessee. Upcycled from a vintage brass Mayan calendar originating from Central America during the mid 1900's, this plectrum feels great in the hand, and produces a crisp attack with a bright tonal palette full of harmonic quality. Every pick is one-of-a-kind, with its own unique pattern and coloration. The use of metal guitar picks began in the late 1800's when acoustic guitarists started using coins as plectrums due to their availability, volume and tonal properties. Contemporary players such as Eddie VanHalen, Billy Gibbons, Brian May, Rickey Medlocke, Phil Collen, and many others regularly use metal guitar picks to enhance the tone of their own distinct guitar performances and recordings.
