Mary Jurek

Mary Jurek established Mary Jurek Design Inc. in 1998 after being presented with four international awards and working several years as a jewelry and watch artiste designing for notable brands including Piaget, Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Wako of Tokyo, Gubelin of Switzerland, and Gump’s of San Francisco.

Early childhood provided her with rich exposure to modern design through the influence of her father, an architect. Their Michigan home was filled with classic, notable mid-century furniture, lighting and decoration. A profound respect for fine craftsmanship was engendered by her environment and continued to remain a driving force in her future professional work.

Jurek’s college years gave way to her unyielding creativity and drove her to pursue a degree in fine arts. With a specialization in sculpting and oil panting, the aspiring artisan began setting the stage for her future as a world-class designer, traveling the globe and eventually finding work in Geneva and New York with noted jewelry and watch producers.

Today, Mary is a successful social entrepreneur and business owner residing in the greater Los Angeles area. Using her past experience working with high quality metals and stainless steel to guide her burgeoning luxury tableware and home design company, it is clear that she has developed a unique line of products that reflect both her personal and professional preferences: organic and unadorned yet beautiful in the most classic sense of the word.
