The fruit for the 2013 Combsville Maroon Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was hand selected from Maroon Vineyard in the Coombsville District of Napa Valley. Within this vineyard, there are unique combinations of soil type, climate, and vine vigor, so cluster maturity and quality can vary, ensuring the choice of only the finest quality grapes for this wine. It was also aged in special, 100% new French Oak which further enhances the dark fruit flavors, nicely balanced with rich and creamy oak tones. The finish is long and lingering.

The 2013 Yountville Maroon Special Reserve Douaihy Cabernet Sauvignon is dedicated to Paul Maroon’s Grandfather, Thomas Maroon Douaihy. This limited production single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon comes from specially selected rows of the vineyard. It is a big, chewy, dark wine with many spices on the nose, accented by creamy vanilla, oak and mocha. The mouth is rich with lots of spicy flavors, deep dark berry fruit, medium tannins, milk-chocolate, coffee and cocoa flavors on the finish. It is aged in approximately 40% new French oak barrels for 26 months, which gives the wine hints of toasted oak and vanilla.
