Mardani
Calcite
Product Description
Calcite from Tennessee is a highly collectible subset of calcites that are easily identified due to their typically twinned, scalenohedral crystal habit. Elmwood mine specimens tend to exhibit more translucence than other varieties of calcite and will often appear to glow with just a hint of light.
This specimen exhibits its largest crystal on the peak of its dark, triangular matrix with beautiful balance. The largest calcite crystal is sizable and is a classic, doubly terminated, scalenohedral crystal for which Elmwood is known. The faces of the crystal are crisp, gemmy, and the edges of the piece seem to glow, thanks to its translucent, amber coloration.
It also features smaller calcite crystals that add interest and variation to the overall composition. According to the metaphysical world, calcite releases electrical impulses when placed under pressure to amplify energy. It aids in the memory of both mind and body by helping onto remember information from conversations and experiences, and also helps the body remember states of perfection during times of distress.
