Luciteria
Lucite Cube // Barium
Product Description
If it means anything at all to most people, barium will most likely trigger unhappy memories of a nurse watching over you while you guzzle down glass after glass of a gross drink that tastes like liquid chalk. This its most popular use, because it's opaque to x-rays, creating a much better silhouette for the doctor to look at.
The pure form of the element is very tough to isolate, though. It's a metal with few practical uses, so it's not easy to come by, and even if you can find it, it has a tendency to react with pretty much every other element out there and compromise itself. The only one that can keep barium under control long enough to suspend in a tube is argon - which doesn't react with anything.
