Luciteria
Lucite Cube // Sulfur
Product Description
Vaguely hellish and certainly associated with all things hot and stinky, sulfur is a powdery element can sometimes be bought in drug stores and is often typo'd as "sulphur". On rare occasions it is found in nature as a translucent yellow crystal, but more often as powder stain near volcanoes. It is an essential ingredient in the making of rubber and is infamous for that awful smell of rotten eggs—which is actually the deadly gas hydrogen sulfide!
This dazzlingly yellow element can be described as simultaneously glassy and rocky. It is brittle but when it breaks it crumbles into little pieces that are not sharp and will easily turn to dust in your hands. Sealed in this clear lucite cube however, this small sample is preserved inside a glass ampule which keeps it contained and preserved for years of viewing pleasure.
