Luciteria
Lucite Cube // Niobium
Product Description
There's little doubt that Niobium should be used for jewelry when it rocks such beautiful hues. Like most other metals, pure niobium tends to oxidize in air. unlike most other metals, however, its oxidation is particularly striking. By carefully heating the virgin metal at a precise speed and temperature, you can get almost any color in the rainbow. Luciteria has achieved this rainbow effect simply by changing the voltage as the cylinder is slowly pulled out of the anodizing bath.
This sample is a half-inch rod weighing approximately 20 grams with purity is 99.95%.
