Black Locust II
Product Description
Black Locust II features locus wood, an especially hard and heavy wood that grows quickly even in dry conditions. This tree shows the obvious north facing side; indicated by the increase in growth. This tree grew on the slopes of the foothills just east of the Great Salt Lake in Utah, and fell naturally. This signed and hand-pressed original wood cut is printed on white 70lb 18x24" paper. The image itself is approximately 16" in diameter, printed with raised ink.

About the Designer
LintonArt by Erik Linton is primarily inspired by common things that we see in nature, presented in a way that lets the viewer appreciate the beauty in common objects. A self proclaimed naturalist, Erik spends a lot of his time in the Wasatch and Uinta forests near his home in Utah. His prints are made from trees that he finds previously fallen in the forest. Each LintonArt print is pressed by hand, making each piece unique and personal. “There's a lot of beauty in really simple things. There's so much simple beauty that we often overlook in the natural world. My goal is to bring some of that natural and simple beauty into our homes and change the way we look at the world.” Future projects by Erik Linton include hand-made topographical etchings of natural structures like the Grand Canyon, the Rocky Mountain ranges, and various river basins.
