This Lodge Pole Pine came from the slopes of Mount Loafer on the Southern Side of Utah Valley. The canyon that this tree came from is a deep canyon that doesn't allow a lot of sunlight for most of the year, so the winter is especially long. This probably accounts for the weathered texture of this cut. The image is printed with raised ink on 18x24" 70 white paper. The image itself is about 8" in diameter and is not a copy. Each print is pressed and signed by the artist.

A self proclaimed naturalist, Erik spends a lot of his time in the Wasatch and Uinta forests near his home in Utah. His prints are made from trees that he finds previously fallen in the forest.
