Dom Pérignon was founded in 1668 by Dom Pierre Pérignon, after he was named the cellarer of Hautvillers Abbey, located in the heart of Champagne, France. His mission was to create the best wine in the world, by perfecting and improving on the rudimentary techniques of the time.
