This gem-quality freeform is carved from natural, solid, Lapis Lazuli. This piece is highly saturated with royal blue coloring and attractive pyrite micro-crystals. Lapis lazuli is an aggregate of several minerals. Lazurite grains provide its characteristic color. The higher the percentage of lazurite grains in the aggregate, the darker the blue color. This freeform is an exceptional example of this, as it has a smoothly uniform body color.
