The Walnut Handled Meat Cleaver isn't intended for fine cutting or chopping, but it's perfect for splitting bone. Meat cleavers have very thick blades that aren't very sharp, making them perfect for cleaving through gristle, fat and bone. The cleaver features a hardened, tempered high-carbon stainless steel blade and durable walnut handles. Its half-tang construction is secured with brass rivets, and Lamson is so confident of its durability and reliability that they offer a lifetime warranty on the cleaver. The Massachusetts-based company has been producing knives and cutlery since 1837, with a reputation for excellence that they uphold with each blade they manufacture.
