ClicBot // Maker Kit

Build as many unique configurations as you can think of with the ClicBot Maker Kit. The kit includes a brain, 17 joints, nine skeleton modules, six wheels, a mount, two phone holders, two infrared sensors, four foot pressure sensors, two suction cups, and a grasper.

ClicBot’s modular design allows you to build your own one-of-a-kind robot in minutes simply by putting together or pulling apart pieces in any way that “clicks” with your imagination. After designing whatever you want to turn your ClicBot into, you can program it in a multitude of ways and watch as your creations come to life! Ongoing software upgrades and added features mean you can push the limits and explore new possibilities with your ClicBot time after time.

ClicBot includes 2 amazing personalities—Bac and Bic— that are ready right out of the box. Bac is an inquisitive scientist who loves to play, learn, and dance, and is fully capable of responding to different types of touch, sight, and gestures. Bic is an adventurous, two-wheeled, self-balancing robot that loves to roam, explore, and even perform tricks. ClicBot also includes 50+ unique preconfigured setups with special designs, programs, and functions. These creative setups are interesting and playful ideas for users to experiment with and to gain hands-on experience with the basics of ClicBot’s modularity and programs.

The Brain module is the master control and power supply unit of the ClicBot. It uses an ARM-A7 processor and includes a rechargeable polymer lithium battery with a capacity of 1550mAh. The eye of the ClicBot is a 2.1" rotational, circular touch screen. It contains a camera with facial recognition software and gesture sensors. There are three touch sensors which are located on the upper, left, and right side of the Brain respectively, and two connectors are located on the upper and bottom rear side. The Brain module is integrated with a number of the function modules, and it includes an accelerometer, gyroscope, microphone, loudspeaker, and WiFi.

The Joint module is used for integrated motion. It functions with a high-precision servo system and uses a built-in DC geared motor, and built-in angular rate/angle position sensors. There are four connectors in total, two in each hemisphere. Each connector has a status indicator which shows the connection and update status in relation to other module pieces.

The Skeleton module is the ‘bone’ of the ClicBot, and is primarily used for building limbs. There are two connectors at the top and bottom of the Skeleton, and two strip status indicators located on the front. The Wheel module is used for vehicle setups. The Wheels include a DC geared motor and a magnetic speed sensor, with a maximum rotor speed of 4.5 rounds-per-second.

The Smart Foot module is a functional sensor module that primarily serves as the ‘feet’ of the ClicBot. The Smart Foot includes a highly-sensitive pressure sensor and a microprocessor to control and measure terminal pressure.

The Suction Cup module is a functional actuator module. It includes a negative pressure pump and a solenoid valve. By utilizing a micro-processor, it can control the air current and turn on/off the value, allowing the ClicBot to perform climbing functions. It also uses the air pressure sensor to proactively check the stability of the ClicBot’s movement.

The Distance Sensor module is a functional sensor that utilizes a high-precision infrared probe and built-in microprocessor to control and measure the distance from an obstacle.

The Grasper module is a functional actuator module with a flexible bionic design. It's controlled via a built-in microprocessor that allows it to grasp objects of various shapes and sizes.

The Mount accessory can be used to fix your ClicBot to a table with Mount Stickers, while the included Phone Holders is perfect for connecting your phone or sports camera to your ClicBot.
