It was designed basing on a hybrid scheme, with a valve preamp and transistor output stage operating in unconditional "Class A." Since EGO is a high power device, it copes with complex loads easily and achieves truly fantastic sound quality. The device also boasts a built-in USB-DAC and can be used as a high-quality external sound card for a PC or a laptop.
