Kanaky

Philippe Lallut—also known as Kanaky— is an international post-pop artist based in Tahiti. His work incorporates the island culture of his homeland New Caledonia, with heavy influences from US and French pop culture. Using traditional silkscreen techniques, Kanaky adds a modern flair with spray paint and hand-cut stencils lifted from local street art. This collection of giclée prints showcases Kanaky's balance between political yet humorous commentary.
