About the Designer

I desperately needed a creative outlet as a child. Since I lacked drawing and painting skills, I became crafty. I dug holes in the backyard for clay so I could make little bowls and pots. I strung beads and made "stained glass" out of food coloring, toothpicks and Elmer's Glue. A chicken pot pie recipe in an old cookbook resulted in a four-hour experiment and a very late dinner for my family.

Today, my Kahili Creations are made from stones and metal. For inspiration, I look outside my windows. The beauty of nature is all around me, from the blue sky, azure waters, rainbows, black sand beaches and volcanoes of my island home.
