"Turn the Page" depicts how the artist's dreams and inspirations are mostly fed by the reading of rare maritime titles. When he reads them he is able to feel the call of the sea, and he smells the turpentine and paints whenever he gets new ideas from them. This piece features the "L.A. Dunton" fishing schooner, which can be found today in a museum in Mystic Seaport, CT.
