"Rescue" features an antique coffee cup from the artist's kitchen, that he had always wanted to bring to canvas. Based off of a German phrase that comes from a movie titled "Storm in a Water Glass," this piece showcases an idea of a "storm in a coffee cup".

The idea evolved from a ship in a storm to becoming a shipwreck scene. The British Brixham trawler "Revive" is having her crew saved by the rescue service. They get a man safely ashore by the use of a breeches buoy rope device.
