“Helgoland” (which can be traced back to mean "Holy Land") depicts two small figures sitting casually atop what remains of a port rigging post looking out at a surrealist landscape. The viewer’s eye is drawn to the background where the artist has placed a pointed geyser blasting a stilted island of stone into the sky. A young couple can be seen sitting and watching the view of the island from afar.
