Product Description
Much like the ghostly yet engaging design of the Specter Chair, the Draped Bowl is truly an amazing design. "A resin-impregnated fabric allows it to 'upholster' the air," creating the illusion of a bowl made of floating fabric.
While a seemingly ethereal concept, the process of creating the Draped Bowl is actually a very structured process that combines resin-infused fabric and molding base to create a ghostly effect. Ultimately, the Draped Bowl questions the "normal" use of materials and, in doing so, introduces a new form to the lexicon of design.

About the Designer
Josh Urso, founder and president of Brooklyn based Josh Urso Design, began making furniture as an industrial design student at Carnegie Mellon University. His unique process has lead him to the development of his resin-impregnated collection of furniture, lighting, wall panels and accessories.
