About the Designer

The son of a West Texas rancher, Ryan Rogers grew up in the country on Jones County Road. With big aspirations, Ryan left the wide open spaces to pursue a fine arts degree in Austin. There he concentrated in metal sculpture, focusing on artistic design with an emphasis on function. After college, Ryan spent time living in Paris, traveling throughout Europe, and further exploring his creative outlets before moving to Los Angeles. Soon Ryan was asked to apprentice at Robert Lewis Studio, which in turn sparked his interest in lighting design. He found that lighting was an exceptional outlet to demonstrate his views on functional design. In early 2014 Ryan began producing his own lighting inspired by the rustic minimalism of rural Texas, the artistry of Paris, and the modernity of Los Angeles. With the handmade movement on the rise, Ryan Roger’s brand, Jones County Road, is poised to excel.
