Inspired to preserve the traditional mezcal production techniques, Luis Jimenez purchased a mezcal farm near his hometown in San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca. Nearly fifty years later, his granddaughter Yola has taken over the business. YOLA continues to respect traditional mezcal production and responsible agave cultivation while creating economic independence for women in Oaxaca.

Produced at an all-female bottling facility, the YOLA 1971 Mezcal Artesanal has flavors of ripe fruit, pepper, citrus flowers, and soft smoke. The rich, full mouth feel opens up hints of star anise and pineapple sage. Vertically integrated and sustainably produced, this mezcal is grown, distilled twice, and bottled on-site. It's been fermented with yeast, hand filtered, and produced following environmentally regenerative farming practices.
