Wood Ball // Black-White
Product Description
The Wood Ball is a perfect example of why the Smithsonian would ever bestow Byers with such an honor. He's been creating all sorts of different decorative designs, besides the traditional furniture he's also been known for. With its gouged surface, colorful and symmetrical design, Wood Ball is lovely accent piece to any playful environment. Each is coated in VOC-free paint, environmentally-safe lacquer and wax finish. It's a collectable piece suited to the new principles and standards of quality American craftsmanship.
In 2011, John Eric Byers (director of Jeb Jones) was included in the Smithsonian's Archives of American Art—the oral history program—for his contributions as a leading american artist working with wood.
